Privacy Policy

Short version

PixSquish processes selected image files locally in your browser; it does not upload them to a PixSquish file-processing service. The site still has ordinary web requests for its pages and assets, described below.

Local file processing and tab memory

When you select a file, your browser holds the file, decoded image data and any generated result in the open tab while the tool works. PixSquish has no upload endpoint, server-side processor or file library for those images. Closing or reloading the tab normally clears that working state; keep your own originals and downloads because we cannot retrieve them.

Local storage

PixSquish uses localStorage for one value only: px_theme, set to light or dark when you change the theme. It does not store processed files, file names, a processing history or an account identifier.

Server access logs

Like most websites, the hosting service may retain standard access logs for page delivery, security and troubleshooting. Those logs can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, referring page, date and time. They do not include image contents because image files are not sent to the site for processing.

Analytics

The current PixSquish pages do not load a separate analytics product. If that changes, this policy will be updated before a new analytics service is introduced, including what it collects, why it is used and how long the resulting data is retained.

Cookies and advertising

PixSquish’s own page code does not set cookies, and the current pages do not load advertising scripts. If advertising or another cookie-based third-party service is added later, that provider may set cookies or similar identifiers under its own policy; we will provide notice and any consent flow required for that change.

Consent and rights

Where applicable law gives you choices about optional cookies or personal data, you may exercise them through the notice provided at the time or by contacting us. Rights and response obligations depend on your location and the circumstances; this policy does not replace legal advice.

Children’s privacy

PixSquish does not offer accounts or request image uploads, and it is not designed to collect personal information from children. Do not send personal or sensitive files by email. A parent or guardian with a privacy question can use the contact details below.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when the site or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version; material changes will be reflected on this page.
